adesso hosting services receives large order from COGNOS AG / Individual
order leads to sharp increase in sales for the company

The adesso subsidiary, adesso hosting services GmbH, established at the end
of 2012 continues to perform well. The new order received by the private
education group COGNOS AG will provide a considerable boost to monthly
sales. adesso hosting services will assume the operation of COGNOS AG's
core business applications and provide them as services. The transition to
the new infrastructure will be carried out in several stages and will be
completed by the end of the summer. The companies of the education
provider, which include the renowned Fresenius University of Applied
Sciences, will then have a scalable solution in a private cloud
infrastructure.

Core applications such as university administration, human resources and
ERP were previously operated in an internal data centre. This solution
reached the limits of its capacity and an expansion would have required
substantial investment sums. The company therefore decided to outsource its
applications. The new private cloud environment can be reliably scaled and
optimally processes peak loads, for example during set registration times
for students. It offers a flexible basis for developing additional
applications in the future. The IT departments of the education provider
can therefore concentrate on maintaining and further developing the
applications essential for creating added value, while adesso hosting
services takes care of the complete operation of the infrastructure.

Flexibility in implementing individual requirements was the decisive factor
for choosing adesso hosting services as a service provider. COGNOS AG
therefore receives a solution which is precisely tailored to the tasks of
an education provider and allows for flexibility in all directions.
